As ICD-10 is going to be the biggest change the healthcare is going to experience in the past few decades, its only imperative that there is going to be a lot of requirement of ICD-10 trainers to lead the industry and play a crucial role at it.
To become an ICA-approved ICD-10 Trainer, apart from earning a Certified ICD-10 Consultant credential, you should also have:
- Verifiable coding experience of at least five years
- Passed Certified ICD-10 Consultant certification exam with at least 80%
- Prepare the thesis on specialty-specific ICD-10 documentation (only one topic of your choice)
